The Pursuit of Happyness

I simply downloaded the movie although it was shown in the cinema long time ago. After a week, I finally able to watch it yesterday night and this morning. It was a rather sad and moving movie about a father, Will Smith, trying to make a living for his family

But the wife couldn’t take anymore as she has to work 2 shifts and their condition never gotten any better. She left him with their five year old son.

He was trying to break away from poverty and it was sad to see him broke and have to live in the church and even in the street once as he couldn’t pay the rent.

However, he was a very hard working, intelligent man that never gives up! Much to learn from this sad movie. =)

I am extremely sleepy at work today as I haven’t had a good sleep for the past week. Yesterday midnight, the electricity went off again and I woke up a while, feeling so hot but slept back as too sleepy. And find it so difficult to get up in the morning. Maybe time for me to take a spoon of Dome every night. Anyway this morning I was glad to remind myself it is Friday again! For the past few days, I’ve been waiting and counting patiently for this day..

Last Friday after work, when I was so looking forward for my weekend, I overheard two ladies conversation in the Putra LRT train. One sighed and said “Two more days are Monday again..” *sigh*

I was like, “what the..” Today is only Friday and just right after work! How optimistic can a person be?

Hair Cut~

My latest haircut about 3 weeks ago was a quite success; quote a colleague of mine, as many people in my office noticed them. Even the kakak (cleaner) in my office noticed it and said it looks good on me~ *happy* Well, actually I just cut new fringe and have some of the hair at the back trimmed which wasn’t anything major~

But hey, I was glad to change my hair parting to accommodate my new fringe. Reason is I always felt that a small segment of my hair, right at the center is.. well, not actually bald.. but let’s put it this way; that there’s less hair over there. Few years back, I have this habit of pulling out my hair, the crooked and stubborn hair that was super curly or wouldn’t be part of other hairs. And I keep plucking them off and now I realized I could have damage the hair follicles. And so the reason for less hair right in the center.. *sigh*

Well, I don’t have reason to be very worry about my hair at the moment as I still have plenty of them at other part of my head. *smirk* I hope there will be no days arrived for me to have the need to undergo any hair transplant.

I promise not to pluck anymore of my hair anymore (well, unless it turns grey, that’s it!)

Have A Happier Life~

Some pointers which I extracted from a magazine and I think it is very helpful indeed :

1. Cry - if you don’t release that pent-up emotion, you’ll lash out at someone you don’t mean to.

2. Listen to music that reminds you of happy times, not sad songs.

3. There’s nothing like the unconditional love of a pet to lift your spirits, so check out the SPCA.

4. Exercise, eat well and rest up. Looking after yourself is key.

5. Make the most time for things you love to do and let everything else fit in around that.

6. Buy yourself flowers. They’ll boost your mood instantly.

7. Write down how you’re feeling at the end of each day. It’ll help you to release emotion.

8. Spend time with loved ones who can support you and hang out with children - they’re so carefree and happy, its infections!

9. Talk yourself through difficult situations out loud. Putting problems into words can make the solution clearer.

10. Focus on the present. Think about positive things and the opportunities that await. =)

Perfect Sunday~

Last Sunday has been a perfect day for me. I slept till past noon! Something that I’ve not done for a long time.. And before I got out of my bed, it started to rain.. and it rained on and off for the whole day. Simply a marvelous day and the weather was so cooling

and perfect~
Cooked simple brunch and dinner, made myself a big mug of carrot juice~ I even took a nap after lunch. Went out a night to remind myself how to drive
and had French fries for supper~
A perfect, relaxing and cooling day~

How I wish it rains every Sunday (or Saturday will even do)..

A relaxing weekend

I am back from my hometown.. rather relaxing one.. as I slept till 11.45am on Saturday, without waking up earlier! Whoa, it is nearly 11 hours of sleep.

Perhaps I am really tired, too much of facing computers at office and home.. so I have my monthly rejuvenating at home. J

Nothing much happened, just nap a lot, went to Tesco with my parents. Bought mooncakes for them. Saw my old friend for a while when she collected her mooncake. J

Washing my Headset

Yesterday in the office, I was reaching for my headset to listen to a nice song. And guess what I saw! One side of the headset was soaking in the tea in a mug! Man! I must have accidentally dropped it.

So I took it out and wiped it clean. Then I dipped into a clear water to further washing it. After that I dry it with a tissue paper and shook the water out of it.

I tried to use it and surprisingly there was still sound coming out of it! Just a little softer, perhaps it wasn’t fully dried yet.

It is a Panasonic headset from my old, blue walkman which my lovely aunt bought from me when I was still in the university. I think that was nearly 7 to 8 years ago! The headset is still working fine. Good quality, huh!

Curry Fish

Kenny’s father loves fishing and goes almost every day after his jobs in health care industry, which wasn’t as busy as his last job. As a result, there are plenty of fishes in his house! His mum cooks them almost everyday and sometimes 2 fish dishes in a single meal!

Thus, he brought us 2 fishes for us. Initially we plan to bring the fish to the restaurant and have them cook for us. But after some thought, Doreen decided to make curry fish!

She called her mum for recipe and bought the ingredients this morning. I am looking forward her curry fish head for dinner tonight and hope it will taste good for her first attempt!
