What A Bliss..

We are getting a car when we reach SF! My company will rent a car, standard size for our 3 weeks there. Since they are 3 of us, I hope I don’t have to be the one that does the driving! The guy is quite familiar and has been in US for 9 years and he has volunteered to be the primary driver.

But we have to pay for the gas using our minimal allowance! Ouch!We have to cook for some meals or else the allowance wouldn’t be enough! And I am expecting to cover some expenses using my own pocket money as well!
Hopefully it’s worth it!

I am working from home today, so excited! It is my first time and I hope I will do it well. The service provider staffs are coming to install the fixed line in my home and well, someone has to be home when they are here.

Since it is for company usage, my director lets me to work from home. But in the future, I’ll be doing support from home as well; all I need are the a href=”http://www.buy.com/cat/netbooks/66726.html”>netbooks. So I am really looking to work from home more frequently. Save 1hour and 15 minutes daily from commuting to work and more time in the morning to prepare myself!

To celebrate his birthday, a friend of mine is being very generous to himself. Usually he watches his spending carefully and is quite thrifty when it comes to buying stuff that he can live without.

He doesn’t even has many gadget and I felt that he is a very discipline person.

But this time, he splurged for his own birthday by getting a playstation 3 and a large monitor to play game! It was almost unbelievable that he would spend so generously on games but then again, he really loves playing them.

Well, at least he is trying to enjoy life a little than being too strict on himself.

How weird it is if your brother is dating your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend? I think that is freaking weird and probably a little unpleasant, not knowing if she will want her ex-boyfriend back again, not to mention having to face her for as long as they are together. Worse if they are getting married.

We suspected that it might be the case for a friend of ours but I guess nothing is concrete yet between the two fellows. The suspicion begins when the ex-girlfriend offered to accompany the brother to rent tuxedos for company dinner and was fishing for an invitation to the dinner!

Maybe we are just a little bored and wanting some excitement and gossips!

Last weekend, I made a new friend, someone I actually put in effort to chat with and to get to know better. It’s been long time since I have not put in effort in a new friend. Well, maybe the effort is not all mine as she seems to be rather lonely, not knowing anyone during the trip.

Some of the time, I felt bad enough for not wanting to chat but just look out the window and absorbed in my own thinking as usual. But I guess it went pretty well as we discussed pretty much things; apart from her work history, we also touched on the travelling, family, dreams, top franchises 2010 and also a common friend which I barely know!

Well, I hope our friendship can grow further from there than stagnant as most of my new acquaintances.

I think the easiest way to break the ice between two newly met people are through common interest. But lacking of those, another way to share the chat and giggles are through gossips! At least it works for the female, or probably the males now as many of them are getting more and more nosy than ever.

Well, it might not be the healthiest topic to do, especially when you barely know the other person, but at least it is more interesting than small talk like the weather or pulse oximeter. At least you get to know how vicious the other tongue is or just sharing some general knowledge of the others. But of course, make sure the fact is not too far from the stories!

I am contemplating to get a local car or an imported car which is around the same price. The local car has slightly higher capacity than then imported counterpart though it wasn’t my main concern. I prefer the imported one as it has nicer design and is less common here. But then again, what set me back is the spare parts which could be higher, even though not as high as Ferrari parts.

It would be more affordable to maintain a local car as the parts are commonly available and the car specs are pretty good too. So shall I go for something that I like or something that is more practical & affordable?

Since two years ago, I am so tempted to go for a  proper facial every month or periodically but till now I have not make any effort to go to the beauty salon! My friend recommended me a good salon that she frequented with excellent price for first trial and skin id but I have delayed it again and again.

I am not sure if the offer for first trial still exist or not. When I met my friend over lunch last Friday, she asked me if I have tried the facial! What an embarrassment to let her know that I have yet to do any facial for years!

Geez, I think it is time to hit the salon and get a proper cleansing and treatment for my face!

My colleague complaint my another colleague who seem to have very bad memory after her maternity leave. She forgot some of her task right after being briefed and her performance at work seem to drop. It all seem to start during her pregnancy period!

It is indeed driving my colleague crazy! Was the baby absorbing all her nutrients or attention? I remembered that she used to take her prenatal vitamin regularly. I guess, it is really a little difficult to juggle between career and children even in this century! Though family seem to be in higher priority, we cannot just let go of the career especially if we really need the extra dough.

A few nights ago, my insomnia is coming back yet again! It has been gone for quite a few weeks since I quit my cough medicine (a tough period) which I gratefully happy about. However, since the discovery about the cancelled plan, I was quite upset and couldn’t stop thinking about it at night.

My mind was very tired and so was my eyes. I could hardly open them for my night reading. However, my mind couldn’t stop racing even after I switched off the light. I was so tempted to take the sleeping pill that was in my drawer for years! Sigh..
