My colleague was really crazy about Harry Potter! When the last edition of the book came out, she was one of the first who get the book! And what’s more, she took 2 days of annual leave and spends a few days reading the book until the last page at home! Boy, isn’t she crazy about Harry Potter?
Are you a Harry Potter freak too? Certainly not me! :D

Yesterday, I felt that something had bitten me again on my bed! I am not so sure if it is a bug or mosquitoes or what. It has bitten my tummy the other day and on my face yesterday! Arghh.. so itchy and annoying.
So I moved all my beds, pillows and the case to sun it under the blazing sun this morning for a couple of hours. I haven’t sun then for quite a long time and I hope it could kill whatever bacteria and germs as well as the bugs residing in my old mattress.

Just now, the lady who was leaving today bought us tea time snacks – pau and glutinous rice with chicken! It was yummy though I was rather full when I ate it.
It was my first and last tea time session with her as I hardly join my department mates for tea. Only half of us were there as most of them are on leave yesterday. I gave her a hug and wished her all the best on her new career path!
People come and go in our lives. But somehow, I felt that rather sad to see people leaving me. It’s like we are never going to be the same again.

It is raining again this weekend, on both Saturday and Sunday. I love the rains, splattering against my porch, the car and out of my window. The environment becomes very cool and pleasant. I even like the smell of the grass after the rain.
No sticky body or sweaty face. It is nice to sleep or even to do anything, apart from the outdoor activities. I hope the rain season last longer. Though I know some people dislike rain as it brings dirty front yard, preventing them to do some outdoor activities and feel blue..

Today we went out for ‘min sin’ lunch again near Hotel Istana. It is one of the favourite places we like to go, except that it is not so near to our office. We need to drive out from our office for around 10 to 15 minutes depending on the traffic.
They serve very nice min-sin, one of the best I ever have, although the place is a little too warm. I always order the pork-ball noodles and it cost RM3.50. But today, I noticed that the price has increased 30cents to RM3.80! But we also notice that the portion is also bigger.
So it is still okay as they give bigger portions unlike some places that increase the price and serve smaller portions! Anyway, maybe I can try the wan tan mee and curry mee there as all these while, I only eat the ‘min sin’.

Another two of my colleagues are leaving today! One is on short notice, she only serve few days of notice as she tendered last week. Her new company is ‘buying’ over her by paying for the short notification she gives to our company. She is one of my teammates that does fabulous job.
I think it is such a great pity that she is leaving us. It is a loss to the team. Anyway, she needs to move on for her career goal. I wish her all the best and may she be happier at her new job! =)

After having them in my drawer for about 20 months or so, I finally pop one into my mouth. I hope it is not expired yet as the doctor prescription did not have the expiry date. I got them when I was going overseas, with a completely opposite time zone than mine.
I’ve been napping and resting the whole day; waiting for a fruitless plan. Greatly disappointed, I just wanted to have an early night but I know that my body and mind wouldn’t be able to listen to my heart.
Thus, the only option I have was to take the sleeping pill.
I took them out and pondered. There were some half-tablet which I had cut them into half in the past. I took a tablet and put it on the table; reconsidering.
I put on a movie.
And then I took out the half tablet and put in the full tablet.
Probably half a tablet would be strong enough as I have never taken any before.
I was having second thought.
To be truthful, I was a little scared.
But I guess I really needed it.
Watched the remaining boring movie and chatted with a faraway colleague. I told him bout the pill. I guess I gave him the impression that I often consume them. He said it is bad for my kidney. But I couldn’t give a damn about my kidney now.
And so I popped it in my mouth and have a gulp of water.
Brushed my teeth briefly.
And waiting for the sleeping pill effect to kick in.
And I finally went to bed at 11pm when my head feels a little heavy.
I think it didn’t take me long to fall asleep.
But I wake up at 1.58am, and I didn’t even hear my housemates came back. I think I had a deep sleep. I managed to sleep back though.
Over the night, I wake up a few more times and had that vivid thought of the unpleasant evening. But I was able to sleep back.
Finally after battling not to open my eyes for quite a few minutes, I peered at the clock; 8.30am.
I am contemplating to pop another one tonight.
Now, I have a new best friend.

I am renting a rather old house with many small ventilation openings at the top of the wall in my room. It is good for the air to come in especially when the air outside is cooler. The thing that really irks me is the amount of dust that flew in when the wind was blowing very strongly.
This happens nearly everyday and as the result, my room is rather dusty! I have to wipe it weekly or else it’s going to be so dirty! Actually I could see the dust accumulated on my table and furniture after a day of two after cleaning.
So yesterday I bought a roll of plastic for wrapping the book and a double sided tape. I seal up the all the ventilation opening that faces the outside of my house! I hope there’ll be less dust but I couldn’t help feeling more suffocated in my room now.
Sigh.. ain’t much choices I have, do I? Better ventilation with more dust or otherwise?

Lunch time is one of the most headache time that we have in the office. Almost everyday, there would be a lengthy discussion on where to go for lunch.
Everyone has different preference which includes the cuisine, the distance, the type of restaurant and the time to go for lunch! I guess it probably would be easier to get an agreement on which diet pills is better and more effective.
Today we spent nearly 15 minutes on deciding a venue as everyone wants to go to different places! In the end, we spitted to 2 groups. Perhaps we should have weekly schedule on lunch venues to make the decision making easier!

The other day we were discussing about the healthy lifestyle and food that Japanese consume. They do have healthier diet and they are the people with the longest life span in the world.
In olden days, people generally eat healthier than we do. But from the history, why do I found out that they have shorter life span? We generally live longer than our great, great, grandparents.
A colleague said that perhaps medical and technology wasn’t as advanced as now. There were many diseases that have not been discovered yet, such as mesothelioma or certain complex tumours.
With our advanced technology today, we manage to have a longer life and perhaps a more quality one as well? If only we would appreciate and loves our lives more!
